Tonight I did something I haven’t done in quite a long time.

You guessed it people.  I watched David Letterman.  Why I chose to do so is beyond me.  Twenty five years ago I used to watch the man on NBC.  I considered him brilliant.

Time has obviously changed us all.

Back then, Letterman’s sense of humor combined with the different bits he did on Late Night were a refreshing departure from the paradigm which Johnny Carson had set.

Now they’re just tired.

It occurs to me that the man has been doing a talk show in its current format for 30 years.

As a fan of the show he did at NBC, the only thing I can say is that he should have quit while he was relevant.

In turn, I’ll hit the “channel back” button and watch reruns of that Family Guy episode where Peter’s shenanigans result in Cleveland falling a couple of stories out of his bath tub.
