Audience Interaction

Many years ago I attended a concert at the Casper Events Center somewhere in the one of the plains states.  At the time Kenny Rogers was touring his show in the round.

As he started the concert, he threw out tambourines to members of the audience.  When it came time to toss the last one, he made the audience work for it.  This resulted in some bozo making his way up on stage and playing the tambourine along with whatever the Gambler was warbling at that point.  In addition, the guy was performing one of those dad-joke type dances that embarrasses his offspring.

Obviously the event resonated with me, because I can recall it all these years later.

There’s only one other audience interaction at a concert which comes to mind which moves to the front of the rolodex.  That was the time when Dave forgot the words.
