Monkey Paws & White Elephants

I’d like to thank the good people at Warner Brothers, HBO Max, and DC for putting the Wonder Woman sequel on streaming services yesterday.

It was truly a monkey paw within a monkey paw, and a white elephant gift that will be held over to be thrown into next year’s pile with last year’s fruitcake.

I think my son summed it beautifully.  “The first 2 hours and 20 minutes were pretty slow”.

Seriously people.  This piece of crap was supposed to come out last spring, and there had to have been a point a few months into the COVID lockdown where maybe you could have gotten an idea or two to take advantage of the delayed release(s) and fix it.

It would be scarier to learn that you did have that revelation, and we saw the corrected product yesterday.

But no.

You culled the best scenes for the trailer and led us to believe there was more good stuff in the movie.

There wasn’t.

You then absconded with 150 minutes of our lives with no intention of giving us a product worthy of our time.

For those of you who haven’t seen it yet, know now that I’ve embedded spoilers in this post.  Namely that it’s long and slow, the running theme involves a monkey paw, and that it’s not very good.
