Well ladies and gentlemen, it’s Christmas.
We’ve made it past the Mayan Apocalypse. At the same time we have another apocalypse looming around the corner as we start to fully realize the horrific impacts which result from the suffrage of the ill and uninformed.
I won’t get political at this point though.
If you’re reading this post, I would like to think that it’s after you’ve given this day it’s proper due. I’d really hate to think that your first action item of the day is to see what some smart ass on the internet has to say about whatever is going through his skull.
Reflect on the day and its true meaning.
Afterwards, move on to its psuedo-meaning which involves playing with all of your new stuff. Put on your pink bunny suit that arrived from Aunt Clara. Go outside to test fire your new Red Ryder carbine action 200-range-shot model air rifle.
When you’re done with that, go read a copy of Red Ranger Came Calling by Berke Breathed. Seriously, y’all. You’ll be glad you did. At the same time, you may encounter one of the handful of writers who provide me with templates and inspiration.
As far as Letters From The Past is concerned, we have about a week to go in order to consider it a success. There are at least five or six topics bouncing around in my head right now, so I doubt I’ll find myself in the coming days at a loss for something to bore you with.
Merry Christmas, Y’all.
