Less than 30 minutes ago, 219 members of the U.S. House of Representatives set aside the will of the people. They put into motion the lighting of a match which will blaze a trail across this great nation of ours one which was never, ever meant to have been burnt.
They sold their souls to their party and its charismatic leader’s continued endeavor to build a monument to himself.
They sold the Constitution for a deal.
It won’t be the Tell Tale Heart beating under the floorboards that ultimately manifests the so desperately needed epiphany that these so-called elected representatives require to fully understand what they’ve done to this country tonight.
No.
Instead, it will be the strong smell of brewing tea laying assault to their olfactory nerves which will help them understand just what exactly they have done, and what uncertain future they face.
There are those that say this legislation cannot be turned around once it’s in place.
I say it can.
