Whereas we will hear over and over again in the years to come that the protests for racial justice which swept the nation throughout the summer of 2020 were described as mostly peaceful, the following should be noted at the same time.

Those protests resulted in the deaths of 25 people and property damage ranging from $1 to $2 billion dollars.
