As in the last few days, today’s blog is going to be a quickie. Since I’m doing the whole thing from my phone tonight, I’m giving my normal attention to spelling and grammar the night off in deference to my fat thumbs and a virtual keyboard.
I’m sitting in a stuffy theater getting ready to see a flick featuring the lovely and talented Scarlett Johansson in skin tight attire loaded for bear (or bare). Wifey and I made a last minute decision to come see it after seeing a Soundgarden video featuring a song from the soundtrack. After watching Snow White last week, my faith in cinema is shaking.
In the mean time, there are some kids sitting behind me, and I suspect they’re reading over my shoulder.
Doosh bags.
On to the real subject now.
As I discussed a few weeks ago, I finally bought an e-reader. The first book I’ve chosen to read on it is The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy.
I’m only a few chapters in, and I find it amazing how many passages I’m highlighting with intent of referring to them later on in another dispatch to the web.
None the less, I find it quite prophetic on Douglas Adams’ part to have predicted the very avatar of our current President in the character of one Zaphod Breeblebrox. You could pretty much do a find/replace function in the book replacing one name with the other. The change would be seamless.
That being said, I’ll take my leave now. The savants behind me a spilling a veritable wellspring of pure idiocy.
