Blog number 98 has arrived with some resistance to getting itself written and published.

That’s not to say that I haven’t given it a pretty good fight though.

In sitting down at the laptop to write today’s monstrosity, I’ve taken the following steps in order to come up with some material:

  • Rifled through recent current events lodged somewhere in my skull in hopes of having something to say about them while at the same time hoping that what I have to say hasn’t already been said before.  I got nothin’.

  • Rifled through the photo stream on my iPhone in hopes of finding an amusing picture I may have taken which will inspire somewhere between 500 and 1000 words of whimsical bullshit.  I’ve got nothing there also, however thanks to iCloud, I can see the pictures Wifey is taking of the Easter cake she’s making for the family get-together.

  • Sampled the website for the local newspaper.  I usually find clear and present idiocy in the local media.  Since I’ve already written about stupid news stories around here, it’s just not worth it to harp on the matter.

  • Pondered recent DVDs I’ve watched.  I’ve been known to discuss movies on here before.  Last night I watched Immortals and today I watched The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.  Since the second movie takes place in Sweden, I was going to post a YouTube of the Swedish Chef singing something as part of my review.  I’m sure that hasn’t been down before.

As you can tell, I’ve expended a great deal of energy and due diligence in order to provide you with the most unique, enjoyable experience possible here on TharpSter.Org.  Sadly, I haven’t been able to come up with anything.

Please return tomorrow, my dear reader.  I can only expect the next 24 hours will bring a fresh new pile of material for me to weave my cutthroat verbal brilliance around and produce a pretty kick ass blog.

In the meantime, please enjoy a picture I just took of a bag of peppermints a few minutes ago.

Rest assured they were delicious, and were not laced with that misplaced cinnamon flavor which has become prevalent in those particular candies in recent years.
