That’s right people. For well over a couple of years, I’ve consistently used a specific name on this website when referring to the house from where the organization launches it’s voluminous dispatches of verbal brilliance to an otherwise dull internet.
The compound.
Here’s the problem with that term.
It has a negative connotation associated with assorted fractures, various chemicals, bows, cults in Waco, rape in Hyannis Port, and concatenations of two words into one.
I’m not interested in perpetuating such negativity with such an innocuous term. Going forward, I will no longer refer to the house as the compound.
I’ve updated the autocorrect feature in my MS Office suite of programs to automatically change the word to something else whenever I type it. I think I can do in on the ole iPhone as well.
From this point on, all soliloquies, blogs, dispatches, rants and other ramblings will be dispatched from my domain.
It only makes sense.
For now, that is all.
