Game, Set …………

In just about 13 hours and 40 minutes, Barack Hussein Obama will celebrate the completion of his first year in office.  In that time, he has appeared on late night talk shows, nailed the NCAA Final Four, guzzled a cold one for the sake of race relations, and even threw out the first pitch at this last year’s All Star Game.  Granted, that last achievement fell short of crossing the plate.

Speaking of which, it would appear that the results of today’s special election in the state of Massachusetts will be the crowning achievement of the perpetual ability of the Creepy Cult of Personality to come up just short of pushing through the radical agenda which keeps his pyloric valve in a euphoric state of nirvana.  I can only guess that the speech writers in the White House who are now faced with some nasty revisions and wordsmithing of the upcoming State of the Union address are looking as bleary eyed and stupid as the pit bull I had spayed today.

Naturally, there’s already talk of the Senate refusing to certify Senator-elect Scott Brown and his truck in time for the vote of all votes on universal healthcare.  The problem for the DNC is that the law is the law.  Since Scott Brown has been qualified and elected to serve, Paul Kirk, the appointed replacement for Ted Kennedy is no longer legally qualified to serve as a Senator to the state of Massachusetts.  At this point, I’m sure the leadership in the Senate will come up with some underhanded dirty trick which steps outside of the tradition, rules, and limits of the law to deny the state of Massachusetts its complete vote when it comes time to hijack the freedom of the American people.

Whereas I could go on ad nauseam (all Latin gets italicized here at TharpSter.Org) about the evils of universal healthcare, I’m going to decline at this point.  I’ve already done my share of it, and any frequent visitor to my little corner of the worldwide web should be well aware of my feelings about the subject.  Instead, I’m keeping my self-touted tirades to a minimum this evening, and will call attention to one, painful, inconvenient truth.  After all, identifying irony is one of my super powers.

For close to fifty years, the senior Senator from Massachusetts championed the most liberal of causes.  Socialized medicine was one of his biggest ones.  With the passing of Ted Kennedy and the rally call on the part of the Democrats in Congress to go win one for their own version of the Gipper, the Senate has now lost its ability to ram through the legislation which the American people obviously did not want.  Even more damaging to the Kennedy legacy to put government run health care in place is the fact that agents in his own party are wholly responsible for its demise.  Rest in peace, Ted Kennedy.

Can you add THIS to our next vocabulary lesson? “…the crowning achievement of the perpetual ability of the Creepy Cult of Personality to come up just short of pushing through the radical agenda which keeps his pyloric valve in a euphoric state of nirvana.”

Then, please run for office. :)
