In November, 2022, a comment was made in the dining room of the long-term care facility where my Mom was a resident.

The comment initially inspired me to chronicle Mom’s time at that facility into a series of blog posts for the very website you’re on right now..

The road trip, the insurrection, and everything else was going to be retold here.

It turns out I had too much material to make the story a series of blogs. 

Instead, I turned it into a book.
